Redefine Success
What does success mean to you? To me, it used to mean the number of material things I had or how many people I knew and who knew me. A nice car, a big house, the latest phone or technology these things were cool in all, but none of these things would fill the void of purpose I so longed for. Instead of proving my materialistic worth, I shifted from proving to living out my purpose for this world. Through lots of failure, through fatherhood, marriage, and most importantly my faith in Jesus, success started to look completely different. Success to me now is becoming the man God called me to be, not the man the world tells me to be. Success is living a life that honors my Creator in Heaven, who honors him by loving my family well, and using the talents he has given me to serve others with love. It’s not about the recognition, status, or proving my worth to the world. It’s about being faithful with purpose, building PEOPLE instead of just building a platform, and leaving a legacy that brings others closer to Christ. I don’t measure success only by what I accomplish, but by who I become in the process, how I love more, and how many people I can impact through God’s word along the way.
